Connect Sekmet to ChatGPT
About two minutes. You choose what ChatGPT can read. Access ends after 24 hours.
Before you start
- You need a Sekmet account, and you need to be invited. Connections are limited to invited people for now.
- You need a ChatGPT plan that lets you add a custom connector.
- You need the server address you were given. It looks like this:
https://<project-ref>.supabase.co/functions/v1/context-mcp
The address above is only the format. Use the exact one you were sent. If you were also given a Client ID, keep it at hand.
Add Sekmet in ChatGPT
-
In ChatGPT, open Plugins, press the plus button, then choose Add custom MCP server.
ChatGPT renames its menus often. If you do not see these names, look for where custom connectors are added.
-
Name it Sekmet. Under Connection, paste the server address into Server URL. Set Authentication to OAuth.
-
Wait a few seconds, then open Advanced OAuth settings. It stays greyed out until ChatGPT has found the server.
If the form asks for a Client ID, enter the one you were given. Leave the secret empty.
-
Untick OIDC enabled. Leave only
openidin the default scopes.Sekmet accepts
openidand nothing else. Any other scope is refused. -
Tick I understand and want to continue, then press Create as a plugin.
-
ChatGPT opens a Sekmet page called Connect ChatGPT. Sign in with your Sekmet email and password.
-
Read the screen, tick what you want to share, and press Allow selected data. You go back to ChatGPT.
What the Sekmet screen shows
The title is Connect ChatGPT, with the line “Choose what ChatGPT can read for 24 hours. You can disconnect at any time.”
- Request from the connector name, the client, and the address it returns to. Check that the return address starts with
https://chatgpt.com/. - The dates of the history window, and when access ends.
- Five boxes. Three are ticked by default: Sport context, Active plans and 8-week summaries. Two are not: Sessions and sets (8 weeks) and Body measurements (8 weeks).
- Review exact values under each box shows the data that would be shared. What you see is what is sent.
- Medical information, saved GPS routes, profile notes and session notes are never included.
- Two buttons: Allow selected data and Deny.
If you see ChatGPT is already connected, you chose earlier and nothing new is shared. Press Continue to ChatGPT only if you just started this connection yourself.
Use it
Start a new chat in ChatGPT and mention Sekmet with @. For example: “Using Sekmet, look at my active plans.”
- ChatGPT can only read the snapshot you approved. New or changed data is not added to it.
- Access ends 24 hours after you approve. After that, ChatGPT asks you again.
- The data you allow is sent to ChatGPT, under your ChatGPT account’s data policies.
Revoke access
- Open the Sekmet app, then Profile & Settings → Preferences → Connections → ChatGPT.
- Press Disconnect ChatGPT.
Every ChatGPT grant is revoked and its stored snapshots are deleted. Calls ChatGPT makes afterwards fail. You need an internet connection: an offline request cannot revoke anything.
Disconnecting does not erase what ChatGPT already received. Delete the connector and the chats in ChatGPT as well.
The same page lists the latest 100 times Sekmet was read: which category, when, and the result. It never shows the data itself.
If something goes wrong
“Unsupported scope”
The connector asked for more than openid. In ChatGPT’s advanced OAuth settings, turn off OIDC, keep only openid, then start a new connection.
“This request is unavailable, expired, or access is not enabled”
Press Retry. If it stays, the link has expired or your account is not enabled yet. Start a new connection, or write to us.
“ChatGPT’s earlier sign-in approval is still on file”
Disconnect ChatGPT in the Sekmet app, then start a new connection.
“This connection link is invalid”
Start the connection again from ChatGPT. Do not reuse an old link.
